It's About to Get Real

Oh boy, it's begun. Classes are in full swing and I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. I'm currently in the middle of writing an analysis of a 1934 movie for my Spanish film and culture class, but I really needed a break. Now that I think about it, I shouldn't feel so overwhelmed. I don't have to be as crazy about my grades this semester since I'll be done in December. Of course, I'll still be a good student and strive for good grades, but I think it's more important to focus on finding a job for after graduation.

So, I'm not going to let myself get in a frenzy about a paper not being perfectly formatted or not receiving a grade I thought I deserved because it really doesn't matter anymore.

It's time to start looking for a career!

On Saturday, I wore a dress from Cream Vintage, Forever 21 earrings, and L.e.i. shoes from Walmart.

Last Semester Ever

I had a great first week of class. It might have been because it was only three days long, but I think it's going to be a really fun last semester. I’m really excited about all four of my classes, but I'm most looking forward to my two multimedia journalism classes. I'll be working on projects and assignments that will not only help me as social media coordinator at Cream Vintage, but will also prepare me for the type of career I'd like to have.

I have more exciting news. My application to graduate from the College of Communication was accepted! I knew it would be, but it's still nice to know it's official. I have to apply in person with the College of Liberal Arts, but that should go smoothly as well. I guess it's really happening. I'll be a college graduate in December!

On Thursday, I wore a skirt from Buffalo Exchange, a Gap tank top, a belt from Wish (now closed), earring from Forever 21, and Bakers sandals.

This outfit was inspired by B.Jones Style recent post.

Little Red Dress

Summer is officially over, classes are in full swing...and I just want to go back to sleep.

Even though I'm not as pumped about school as I should be, I'm excited to work on my blog again. I've been pretty lazy these last few weeks, spending hours reading the Stephanie Plum series and watching Madmen. Neither of those activities required me to get dressed, so that's my excuse for lack of outfit posts this month.

Now that I have to be somewhere everyday, my summer uniform of denim cutoffs & t-shirts is not OK anymore. I don't feel very confident if I don't think I look my best. It's obviously a psychological thing, but it works for me.

Last Wednesday, I wore a vintage dress and belt from estate sales in San Antonio, Forever 21 earrings, and Sam Edelman sandals.

Hello Again

You may have noticed that I've been MIA for about two weeks now. I didn't mean to do that. It just sort of happened when I moved and AT&T screwed up my internet order.

We won't have internet in our apartment until September 2. I can't blog, do any school stuff, or Facebook stalk. I already tried to get an earlier installation date, but haven't had any luck. It looks like my blogging will continue to be on a hiatus until September. Once I get a new tripod and the internet installed, I plan to try out a few different blog ideas I've been thinking about.

By the way, I'm writing this post at Matt's apartment in Baytown. I'm helping him pack up his stuff for the move back to Austin. Matt and I will officially be living together this Thursday!

Almost two weeks ago, I wore a dress from Target, and shoes and earrings from Forever 21.

New Apartment & New Dress

I hope you've grown tired of the same boring white brick background because this is the last time you'll ever see it. I've officially moved into my new place! Now, I have to find a new location to take my outfit pictures. My main concerns are usually lighting and nosy people hanging around. OK, so they probably aren't being nosy, but it feels silly to pose and smile while people are watching. I guess it's safe to say that my modeling career is over before it even began.

I picked this dress up during a quick trip to Savers last week. I hadn't bought anything in awhile and was itching for something new to wear. Well, this dress isn't exactly new because it's from a thrift store, but it only cost $7. It was exactly what I was looking for: something light and comfortable enough to wear in 100° weather. You can't see it in these pictures, but there's a slit in the front that goes up to my knees. I love maxi dresses but "I like a healthy breeze 'round my privates, thanks."

Haha. That was one of my favorite lines from Harry Potter. All right, enough nerdiness.

On Friday, I wore an Ann Taylor dress from Savers, a necklace I bought at Sears when I worked at the jewelry counter in high school, and Forever 21 sandals.
